About
Dr. Blitzer
Andrew Blitzer, MD, DDS., FACS is an internationally known Otolaryngologist with expertise in voice and swallowing disorders, nasal and sinus surgery, and head and neck and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Blitzer is also a pioneer and leading authority in the use of Botox (botulinum toxin) for conditions with excessive muscle function, muscle pain, tremor and muscle spasm including spasmodic dysphonia and facial lines and wrinkles. Dr. Blitzer is a graduate of the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine and the School of Dental and Oral Surgery of Columbia University. He completed his residency training at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He is currently Professor of Clinical Otolaryngology, College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University. He has a joint appointment in the School of Dental and Oral Surgery. For several years Dr. Blitzer was also the Acting Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology of the College of Physicians and Surgeons and Acting Director of the Otolaryngology Service of the Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Blitzer is currently a Senior Attending Otolaryngologist and Director of the New York Center for Voice and Swallowing Disorders at the St. Luke’s/ Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York.
